Just Starting

My baby sister recently started her own blog and not wanting to be outdone, I thought this would be a great way to vent and express myself to my friends and family. To those whom may not know, I currently live in Florence, Italy. I have been living in Italy since February of 2007 minus a brief 6 months spent living in Budapest, Hungary. If only I had set this page up much earlier! My life up to now has been quite entertaining and unfortunately this chapter of my life will be shortly coming to a close.
    Maurizio, my Italian husband, and I are currently waiting for a transfer back to the United States and for me it can’t come soon enough. Don’t take what I say in the wrong way, Italy is a beautiful country full of art, history, architecture, and of course the food. Focusing only on the beauty that most of us Americans read about in our history and travel books would be oh too easy. Instead I would like to focus my blog on the small intricacies that make living in Italy all the more exciting and interesting. Some of my experiences are no different than those you would find in America and I don’t plan on comparing one better than the other just how they differ or how they are very much the same.
